Mom-mom & pop-pop enjoying their garden out back (08/2010).

Life has been pretty hectic here. Rachel has gone out twice to Baltimore (both parents and relatives are out in that area). Her grandma (lovingly known as “Mom-mom” or to our kids as “big-mom-mom”) was sick and towards the end of her life here on this earth.

Rachel (& Reuben) and immediate family went out to say their good-byes in late September.

The phone call came on Wednesday morning (10/20) that “Big-mom-mom” is now enjoying the loving embrace of her Lord and Savior. Praise the Lord that she is in a better place. She is survived by her husband (“Big-pop-pop”), two sisters, her daughter and son, 3 granddaughters, and 6 grandchildren.

Rachel, Reuben and Julia drove out for the funeral and will be back on Tuesday. Pray for safety, comfort and strength, for them and others who are going out for the funeral.

Please keep the immediate family in your prayers, and thank you to all who have been praying. We ask for you to especially keep “Big-pop-pop” in your prayers. In trying to finalize wills, etc., he tearfully said, “I  don’t want to live with a broken heart.”

Please also keep Uncle Raymon, Aunt Debbie, and cousin Christina  in your prayers as they are the family that located closest; as well as the rest of the family as they mourn the loss of this amazing woman who was a beautiful child of God. “Big-mom-mom” was 89 years old.
